Overview of PTE
Secure English language testing is offered by Pearson Test of English (PTE) for use in applications for study abroad as well as for work and immigration visas in Australia, the UK, New Zealand, and Canada. PTE is the first English test that was entirely computer-based.
Mode of Exam
1) At Test Center
The test covers listening, reading, and writing skills and is taken at an Authorized PTE Testing Facility using a Computer. You will be given a computer, a headset, a chair, a notepad, and a pencil on test day.
2) Home based
You'll need a Windows or Mac laptop or desktop computer, a wired headset with a microphone, a quiet, private place, and a strong internet connection if you plan to take the test at home.
